In John MacArthur’s commentary on 1 Timothy, he made this statement about the
heart, “How does a woman discern the sometimes fine line between proper dress and
dressing to be the center of attention? The answer starts in the intent of the heart. A woman should examine her motives and goals for the way she dresses. Is her intent to show the grace and beauty of womanhood? Is it to reveal a humble heart devoted to worshipping God? Or, is it to call attention to herself and flaunt her beauty, or worse to attempt to lure men sexually? A woman who focuses on worshipping God will consider carefully how she is dressed, because her heart will dictate her wardrobe and her appearance.”

Richard Baxter, the 17th century English Puritan pastor, once told the women in his
congregation-in no uncertain terms-that they were to practice wardrobe modesty to
avoid stoking the fires of lust in the hearts of men.

Said Baxter: "And you must not lay a stumbling block in their way, nor blow up the fire of their lust, nor make your ornaments snares but you must walk among sinful persons as you would do with a candle among straw or gunpowder, or else you may see the flame which you would not foresee, when it is too late to quench it."

Let's talk about modesty for the next few days. What does modesty look like for women who are believers in Christ?

We are so excited that the sweet baby is here!





His name is Hudson Luke and he weighed eight pounds, six ounces and was twenty-one inches long. He was born on Wednesday, November 11th.

Mia loves her little kitten. She was so excited to add "feed the kitten" to her chore list. Wish I could have the same joy when another chore is added to my list!

one of my favorite blogs

I have been following Mom*tog for quite awhile now. I love it! Drew has a great way of explaining photography and I have learned so much. I finally understood how to shoot manual by reading her blog. It was such an exciting moment! lol I consider her blog to be my "secret source" of photography knowledge. And one of my favorite reasons for checking it daily is to see all of her great photos. They are unbelievable!

Grazzin is now eleven! Happy Birthday, little man. I won't be able to call him that for long since he will soon pass me up in height.





Mia gave him a movie and Grazzin was thrilled to get his first BB gun from his grandma and us. We had a fun party here at our house last night.
